Job Description






Dewberry is currently seeking a Recruiter to join and support Dewberry’s Disaster Recovery Division. The Recruiter will provide full life-cycle recruitment services for CADRE positions that are highly technical and professional staffing and that target high quality and diverse candidates. Responsibilities






  • Build and maintain strong relationships with DRS resource and deployment managers to plan and execute talent needs.
  • Manage and perform full cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing top talent.
  • Identify and source top talent through multiple venues such as job boards, industry-specific sites, college and university campus job fairs and contacts, social media outlets, and other sourcing means.
  • Develop strong relationships with the company’s operational leaders, external professional organizations, and industry contacts to identify qualified leaders and professionals.
  • Review and screen resumes, credentials, and candidates for skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements while complying with EEO and OFCCP federal regulations.
  • Schedule interviews and provide other support including generating staffing reports and updating resource databases as needed to the resource manager.  
  • Work closely with the resource manager as a team to provide a seamless hiring and on-boarding experience for CADRE staff including conducting background investigations, generating offer letters to potential Dewberry disaster personnel, as well as distributing and collecting new hire paperwork when necessary.
  • Assist with the development of job descriptions if needed and create and post all open requisitions through our ATS.
  • Advise and consult resource and deployment managers throughout the hiring process to help identify the top candidates while ensuring compliance with the HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide regular status reports to the resource Manager and ensure that candidate tracking is up-to-date and compliant in the Applicant Tracking System.
  • Willingness to work Overtime as needed to support disaster deployments. 








Required Skills & Required Experience






Required Skills & Experience:

  • A BA or a BS degree.
  • 5 years of experience in an HR confidential-support role is preferred.
  • Experience recruiting in a Disaster Recovery professional firm is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive, and preference for, dynamic, fast paced and high growth environments.
  • Ability to build and implement successful, creative approaches to talent acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter and other alternative sourcing methods to identify and hire high level positions with niche skill sets.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with a web-based applicant tracking system, preferably iCIMS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Service Contract Act (SCA) employment regulations.
  • Ability to apply nontraditional sourcing strategies.
  • Ability to work in an extremely high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build excellent relationships with staff and candidates.
  • Possession of excellent negotiating, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong initiative, attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Goal oriented, motivated, self-starter with a desire to learn and contribute within a team environment.
