Job Title: Warehouse Manager, Millington, TN

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Operations Manager

Primary Purpose:

Ensure that orders are shipped in a timely and efficient manner according to company standards by providing guidance and direction to warehouse staff and assisting with a hands-on approach. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Function as principal coordinator between the Parsippany office Operations department and warehouse staff
  • Review and recommend methods to improve area operations, efficiency, and service to main office and external clients
  • Understand all safety procedures and ensure safe work practices are followed to maintain a safe work environment
  • Provide leadership, coaching and management to the warehouse staff including responsibility for performance, attendance, development, and training
  • Create and maintain a high-quality work environment motivating employees to perform at their highest level
  • Manage overtime and part time employee hours for maximum efficiency to the company
  • Coordinate and plan warehouse storage and distribution of company products and materials. Maintain a clean organized warehouse and storage yard.
  • Coordinate warehouse action plans, schedules and target dates for shipment, and inventory commitments
  • Maintain accurate and timely inventory records and establish inspection methods of incoming materials. 
  • Isolate, sort and organize all damaged or non-conforming material for subsequent remuneration from clients and/or suppliers with tracking for eventual repair or destruction of goods once the company is reimbursed.
  • Load and unload equipment of trailers and closed containers along with pulling, packing, and inspecting of material prior to shipment 
  • Coordinate domestic trucking with warehouse and clients and provide evaluation of trucking firms
  • Manage Shipping and Receiving for the Washington location
  • Maintain machinery operator safety training certificates on a regular basis
  • Track and schedule all Planned Maintenance on equipment
  • Understand and adhere to all Acrow’s policies and applicable laws
  • Travel to other Acrow Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
  • Perform other duties as required

  • Valid driver’s license 

Minimum Education and Experience: 

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Five to Ten years of experience in warehouse distribution or material supply and distribution center such as steel warehouse, lumber yard or masonry supply center 

Preferred Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Business
  • NCO level 12 Charlie with an MRBC unit
  • Experience in the Bridge Engineers division of one of the armed services directing soldiers or personnel in the development of bridge and construction projects 

Working Conditions: 

  • Work is typically performed in a warehouse environment which requires proper safety precautions.
  • Work requires some physical effort in the handling of materials, boxes, or equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Regular work hours are planned as 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Additional hours may be required from time to time.
  • All work-related safety gear will be provided by the company
