Job Purpose:

To oversee all warehouse and delivery operations 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assign, manage and prioritize daily duties (shipping, receiving, and delivery) for warehouse and driving personnel and follow up to insure the tasks are completed on time and error free.
  • Determine delivery route to ensure timely and efficient delivery of customers’ orders 
  • Ensures shipping and receiving functions including receipt of inventory, process returns and warranty are completed accurately and daily. 
  • Coordinates inbound receiving schedule allowing ample time for freight to be received and put away accurately on a daily basis
  • Coordinates outbound shipping schedule ensuring customers receive their orders per their specifications.  
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT, OSHA and company safety programs for all warehouse and delivery personnel
  • Manage the organization and appearance of the warehouse to ensure inventory is presentable and accurate
  • Maintain inventory accuracy to include managing cycle counts, bin locations and various daily, weekly and monthly reports. 
  • Manage Physical Inventory process
  • Process warranty paperwork and return items to vendors   
  • Coordinate returns, delivery schedules, job site deliveries and customer pickups with TMs, ISPs 

             and DCMs

  • Maintains relationships with freight carriers to ensure timely delivery of product and payment of freight claims for lost and damaged shipments
  • Manages PTO for warehouse and delivery personnel
  • In conjunction with Distribution Center Manager, conduct Performance Reviews for warehouse 

and deliver personnel

  • Assist Distribution Center Manager with developing and managing annual budget 
  • Holds monthly team meetings 
  • Coordinates building maintenance and security
  • Participate in after hours On Call Schedule and Training Classes
  •  Work cooperatively with others
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; sit; lay on the floor; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee may work in environments as cold as 20 degrees or as hot as 105 degrees. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

In addition to possessing the skills necessary to perform these duties and responsibilities, the employee must be willing and able to demonstrate these skills through regular and reliable physical attendance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years shipping/receiving experience 
  • 3-5 years supervision experience 
  • 3-5 years forklift experience 
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, plus
  • Familiarity with Latitude WMS and Sxe/Trend, a plus
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Possess a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
  • Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy
  • Qualify under federal and state regulations to drive the vehicle in questio
