Transportation Business Development Manager

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Manage annual sales goals, performance standards, and reporting functions for all customers
  • Monitor facility level EBITDA for assigned locations to ensure maximized capacity and performance
  • Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers, prospects, and industry leaders
  • Understand local competitive landscape and provide innovative solutions for customers
  • Support and review initiatives to ensure alignment with short-term and long-term sales business plans and objectives
  • Communicate with customers and other appropriate parties to ensure high customer satisfaction
  • Provide data for pricing proposals and competitive insights
  • Identify and communicate continuous improvement and network optimization opportunities to customers and other appropriate parties
  • Support Business Development leadership with sales initiatives

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent training in Business or Sales Management
  • 2 years of progressive experience in a warehouse and sales management environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency in development and implementation of strategy / annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOPs, workshops, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of temperature-controlled warehouse and logistics industry
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
