Job Summary
The talent acquisition specialist will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract and maintain a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
- Consults data and records to identify and select potential candidates for vacant positions.
- Collaborates with each department to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria and collects compensation data to make the company stay competitive.
- Creates and oversees all job posting and advertisement processes.
- Organizes, attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting networking sessions.
- Oversees the interview process, attends and conducts interviews with managers and directors.
- Follows up with the hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful.
- Screens candidates, selects qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase.
- Arranges in-person or virtual meeting locations, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants and company managers when necessary.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifies and recommends salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Checks candidates’ references and credentials, verifies experience and backgrounds.
- Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO), EE0-1, and related employment laws and regulations.
- Runs monthly reports including turnover, expiring employment agreements, stay interviews, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
