Overview






Illuminate seeks a highly qualified Systems Administrator to join a mission-focused team that maintains applications, services, microservices, Platform as a Service (PaaS), and support services. The effort requires the maintenance and enhancement of an application and underlying services/microservices’ application’s current capability while identifying future capability needs and eliminating overlaps. The team will continuously improve sustainment and development in order to reinvest resources to provide new capabilities and improve the effectiveness, quality, and robustness of the underlying technology. Our applications are focused on intelligence analysis and collection management directly supporting intelligence analysts and operators across the intelligence community and Combatant Commands. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design and implementation of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.  Possess an expert working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).  Can analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.

Responsibilities






  • Perform systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks.  Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
  • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
  • Participates in developing and delivering training as requested by the government to support applications
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Installs/loads operating system and application software
  • Isolate and resolve of hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
  • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
  •  Integrate new technologies into new and existing systems including the transition and migration of corporate systems








Qualifications






  • Clearance: TS/SCI
  • Polygraph: current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph
  • Must be DoD 8570 compliant at IA Technical (IAT)/IA Management (IAM) Level 2
  • Experience working on a development team under DoD/DIA DevSecOps processes
  • Understanding of Oracle and/or CENTOS based architecture
  • Must be analytical and effectively able to prioritize needs, requirements, and other issues.
  • Required Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma/ GED 16 years of experience
    • Associates Degree 14 years of experience
    • Bachelors’ Degree 12 years of experience
    • Masters’ Degree 10 years of experience 
    • PhD 8 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, or information management and twelve years of comparable work experience.
  • Desired skills include up to ten or more years of program/application operations experience.
  • Prefer candidates who have experience in the Intelligence Community.
  • Prospective candidates should have strong risk management skills, excellent communication, teamwork and conflict management skills.
