Description

 The American Board of Radiology (ABR) is an independent, not-for-profit organization and is one of 24 national medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties. We were founded in 1934 to protect the public by assessing and certifying doctors who meet specific educational, training, and professional requirements. 


The ABR is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and motivated Staff Accountant to join its team.?This position is located in Tucson, Arizona and is an in-office position.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Submit deposits to the bank via check scanner, load check stock for weekly check run, tag and un-tag equipment upon receipt or disposal 
  • Document fixed asset additions and disposals for transaction entry 
  • Reconcile and post credit card deposit transactions 
  • Assist in preparation of account analyses and reconciliations for month-end close 
  • Prepare month-end journal entries 
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries 
  • Tracking in-house software development costs  
  • Record miscellaneous bank transactions 
  • Prepare manual invoices as needed 
  • Vendor record maintenance within accounting system 

Other Duties 

  • Back-up for sales transactions reconciliation and posting 
  • Back-up for cash transactions reconciliation and posting 
  • Back-up for payroll processing 
  • Document and maintain detailed instructions for assigned tasks 
  • Assist with compliance reporting, including personal property taxes 
  • Assist with internal financial reporting 
  • Assist with the annual audit 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience 
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience 
  • Understanding of data mining and business intelligence  
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills 
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting/ERP software
