This is a meaningful opportunity to join our Executive Recruitment team as a Senior Executive Recruiter, working directly with business and enterprise leaders on senior leader hiring needs across all areas of the business. This role is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and is a hybrid role.
The Senior Executive Recruiter will attract and recruit IU Health’s most senior level talent at the Director to C-Suite levels. This team member will have an impact on shaping the leadership recruitment methodology to ensure a high-touch, concierge approach with an emphasis on creating a personalized stakeholder and candidate experience. The Senior Executive Recruiter will act as a key advisor to senior leadership regarding successful executive search that is rooted in diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and facilitating a best-in-class and high-touch comprehensive recruiting process, which includes conducting intake calls, building job profiles, posting positions, sourcing and screening applicants, slate presentations, interview guidance, coordinating assessments and feedback, preparing market competitive compensation offers, pre-hire preparation, and ensuring successful arrivals on first dates of employment.
- Partnering with senior business and HR leaders to provide strategic and tactical talent acquisition expertise.
- Ensuring the right recruitment strategies are in place and executed effectively, as well as advising senior leaders in selecting the best talent.
- Promoting diverse, equitable, and inclusive hiring strategies. This includes, but is not limited to, creating diversified sourcing strategies using referral networks, intentional pipelining and targeted outreach, and curating diverse interview teams.
- Networking through industry contacts, associations, past candidates, alumni, current team members, and other avenues to attract top talent.
- Providing coaching and/or career development guidance to active and passive candidates, both internal and external to the organization.
- Managing relationships and search process with executive search firms, as necessary.
- Providing other consultative and project management support to continuously evolve and elevate Executive Recruitment practices and service.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
This position reports directly to the Director – Executive Recruitment and will serve alongside two additional recruiters, one project manager, and one coordinator. The Senior Executive Recruiter will be part of a larger Talent Acquisition team with nearly 100 team members state-wide, and a Human Resources team with nearly 300 team members state-wide. Candidate Qualifications
Candidates will be selected from a diverse pool and evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Requires 5-7 years of talent acquisition, human resources, or related experience within a matrixed organization; healthcare setting preferred.
- Requires demonstrated success providing consultative strategic guidance to senior business leaders, proactively and on an as-needed basis.
- Experience recruiting leadership hires strongly preferred.
- Experience in human resources supporting and advising senior leaders highly desired.
- Requires detailed knowledge of internet sourcing and recruiting strategies and practices, with a focus on diverse hiring strategies.
- Requires knowledge of compensation structures and experience applying processes and guidelines for internal and external candidate hires.
- Requires a knowledge and understanding of HR related regulations and laws (e.g. FLSA; COBRA; ADA; FMLA; etc.).
- Requires proficiency in MS office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and an applicant tracking system.
- The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and prioritization skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with and provide thought leadership to senior stakeholders.
