The Disney Television Studios Finance and Planning team leads the overall planning for Twentieth Television and Twentieth Television Animation Studios. The finance team provides critical financial support and analytics to the DTS senior management teams as well as key business partners across the Walt Disney Company.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team! The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Senior Manager, Finance in the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan, Long-Range Plan and Forecasts for DTS. The position will work with the Departments, Controllership, and Segment Planning to budget and forecast SG&A Expenses and Capital Expenditures for the studios. This individual will build a deep knowledge of DTS and Studio Operations. The position requires excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills as well as an acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Prepare the SG&A Expense plan and forecasts, including Departmental Overhead, Allocations, Marketing, Depreciation, etc.
  • Build the Capital Expenditure budget and forecasts, including Technology, Real Estate, etc.
  • Analyze and summarize financial results against plan, forecasts, and prior year
  • Collaborate with Controllership to accurately track actuals and assist with quarterly closes
  • Participate in pivotal initiatives that focus on efficient utilization of resources, require in-depth financial analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage calendar for all planning cycles throughout the year to meet deadline deliverables
  • Assist with ad hoc projects

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong technical skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Organized and articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous work experience in television or feature film FP&A is a plus
  • Public accounting experience is a plus
  • Experience working with SAP and Cognos TM1 is a plus

Education

  • B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $103,400 to $126,200 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
