Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman has an opening for a Senior Business Development Manager, who will be part of the global marketing and business development team supporting practices within the Real Estate and Transactional Business Units. This position can be based in any of our offices, with a preference in Washington DC.
The Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the BD strategy, leading strategic initiatives, and planning, supporting and implementing a broad array of business development initiatives to help expand Pillsburyโs business and reputation. Working with assigned practices, and with the support of colleagues across the platform, the Senior Business Development Manager will advise lawyers on client pitch strategies, create proposals and pitch materials, conduct research and analysis, manage events, and complete lawyer directory submissions (e.g. Chambers and The Legal 500).
Qualifications
Candidate should have a bachelorโs degree in marketing or a related field, with a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in professional services or law firm business development. Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills are critical to success as are collegial, collaborative and team player attributes.
Candidate must be a self-starter who thrives on juggling numerous high visibility projects on fast timetables and can handle high-pressure environments. Candidate should have strong to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and some knowledge of applications specific to the legal field.
Washington DC pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $175,000.
