Are you an insurance professional with a passion for the power and energy sector? WTW (Willis Towers Watson) is looking for a dynamic and experienced Power Broker to join our team in London!


The Role


As a Power Broker at WTW , you will be at the forefront of providing innovative risk solutions to our clients in the energy sector. You’ll leverage your expertise to negotiate and secure the best terms, build and strengthen relationships, and deliver exceptional service. This role offers the chance to work with industry leaders and contribute to ground-breaking projects in the energy industry.



  • Understand the clients’ business and risk transfer needs and offer solutions to fulfil those needs through the provision of ongoing service.

  • Understand, apply and where necessary explain the BU policies and procedures.

  • Establish and maintain active relationships with our clients, retail offices and (Re)Insurers.

  • Provide technical, industry and subject matter expertise where required.

  • Draw on expertise within the team and across the Group for clients as required.

  • Liaise with clients and build and strengthen successful relationships.

  • Determine appropriate solutions, structure, price and placement strategies that meet the clients’ needs and wishes and deliver profitable business for a range of clients.
     



Qualifications

The Requirements

  • Proven Natural Resources Insurance experience, within Broking or Underwriting. 
  • Proven track record of relationships, strategies, and program design.
  • Successful relationships in the Natural Resources Downstream market locally and overseas.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence within a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing exceptional client service and building of client relationships.
  • Proactive and diligent approach to all tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent skills in problem solving, planning, and budgeting.
  • High levels of business and financial acumen with an understanding of company strategy and change management.
  • All-Inclusive facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement.
  • Efficient communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Skills in planning and budgeting.
  • Ability to act as an ambassador for the Company.
  • Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the market.
  • Preferably educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent).
  • Preferably with professional qualifications, e.g. ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience.
