How you’ll make a difference:
- Engage in a diverse range of financial tasks tailored to private clients, including compilation, review, bookkeeping, and tax-related activities such as personal ("T1s") and corporate ("T2s") tax returns.
- Navigate through the intricacies of Notice of Assessments ("NOAs") and Notice of Reassessments ("NORAs"), providing clear guidance and expertise to clients.
- Oversee government remittances and filings.
- Identify and address issues and discrepancies, collaborating with managers or engagement partners to develop effective solutions.
- Manage communication with government agencies, responding confidently to information requests, assessments, and installments.
- Foster strong partnerships within the client engagement team, leveraging collective expertise to achieve objectives effectively and exceed client expectations.
Who you are:
- You are a dedicated professional with two years of invaluable experience in public accounting. Currently on the path towards obtaining your CPA designation or in its final stages.
- Proficient in essential accounting software such as CaseWare and TaxPrep, you possess the technical acumen necessary for the role.
- Your hands-on experience in managing Canada Revenue Agency's tax enquiries and reviews showcases your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
- Moreover, your proactive approach is reflected in your gradual assumption of responsibilities, from delegating and managing tasks to reviewing, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and preparing client files.
