Senior Accountant

Job Description

Robertson is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our client. This role involves corporate & personal tax returns along with preparation of financial statements. The successful candidate will be responsible for acting as a coach and guide to the junior members of the team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Compile financial statements, draft tax returns, general representation letters, and differentiate between compilation and assurance files using CaseWare.


• Conduct thorough research to understand clients' industries, identify key performance drivers, and stay informed about business trends and emerging technical developments.


• Collaborate with the administrative assistant team for efficient client onboarding, proper documentation processing, and workflow oversight.


• Prepare various tax returns, including corporate, personal, T5013 Partnership, T3 Trust, T4/T4A/NR4/T5 Information Slips, T5001 Tax Shelter Slips, GST, EHT Returns, ETD calculations, and WSIB calculations.

Experience & Qualifications:

•  2-3 years experience working in a mid sized firm


• CPA designation or CFE passed


• Strong background in Canadian income tax


• Experience using Caseware & Tax Prep
