About this position: 

LMCU is looking for a Security Operations Manager to develop and lead the credit union's Security Operations Program, overseeing a cybersecurity operations team that monitors assets for security incidents. This role is crucial in incident response, ensuring the identification, containment, and recovery from cyber events while serving as the primary contact for the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). 

What you’ll do: 

  • Direct the Cyber Incident Response Team in investigating cybersecurity incidents, ensuring effective identification, containment, and recovery.

  • Oversee the cyber incident response program using industry frameworks; implement controls to reduce risks and impact from breaches.

  • Conduct host and network analysis, utilizing authoritative threat data to respond to incidents and correlate security information from various sources.

  • Summarize incidents for stakeholders, fostering cybersecurity awareness and staying informed on trends to mitigate emerging threats.

  • Lead efforts to secure network endpoints; maintain and staff the Security Operations Center with qualified professionals.

  • Manage and recommend security technologies to address threats, ensuring a robust control environment.

  • Collaborate across the organization to protect sensitive information, including member and financial data.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and technical training.

  • Active CISSP or CISM certification (or equivalent) required.

  • 5+ years in technical services/IT for hardware/software engineering and production support, including exposure to business planning, systems analysis, security solutions, and infrastructure support.

  • 6+ years in information security.

  • Excellent team-leadership communication, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in crisis situations, problem-solve and implement technology solutions, and project manage.
