The opportunity


We need a self-driven and motivated Business Development Manager with a true "hunter mentality" to fuel the continued growth of our food and hospitality business events. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of selling exhibition, sponsorship and digital media packages for Foodservice & Hospitality Week—a landmark annual event that celebrates culinary innovation and inspiration, attracting 15,000 industry professionals across a vibrant mix of trade shows, conferences, competitions, awards, dinners, and parties.


Key responsibilities


  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets
  • Manage and build pipeline of new business within assigned categories/segments
  • Identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities (via phone/zoom calls emails, and face-to-face meetings)
  • Self-source leads via online research, social media and networking at related events
  • Follow-up promptly on inbound leads generated by the marketing team
  • Respond to customer inquiries quickly and prioritise activities with customers at different stages in the sales process
  • Utilise CRM to track and report account activity accurately and promptly
  • Oversee customer experience from prospect through event execution
  • Work collaboratively with other sales team members and other departments
  • Stay informed on industry trends and engage with the larger retail tech industry
  • Study the market and identify new trends and key players
