The Role: What You’ll Be Doing
As the Regional Business Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving our growth across Victoria. Your mission? Build long-term strategic relationships with our reseller and solar retailer network, grow our market share, and smash revenue targets.
Here’s a snapshot of your responsibilities:
1. Business Development & Network Expansion:
- Recruit and onboard new solar resellers and retailers who align with Red Earth Energy’s values.
- Develop strategies to expand into new markets and increase brand visibility.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.
2. Relationship Management:
- Be the go-to person for all resellers in your region, providing top-notch support and ensuring they feel valued.
- Deliver training and guidance to help our partners sell smarter and hit their goals.
3. Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Create and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Deliver compelling presentations, negotiate deals, and seal the deal with confidence.
4. Technical Expertise:
- Stay sharp on the latest Red Earth Energy products, industry trends, and competitor advancements.
- Offer product training and technical support to resellers and retailers.
5. Marketing & Promotion:
- Collaborate with our marketing team to create standout campaigns and promotional materials.
- Represent Red Earth Energy at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
6. Reporting & Insights:
- Keep leadership in the loop with accurate forecasts, CRM updates, and sales insights.
- Provide strategic recommendations based on market trends and reseller performance.
What We’re Looking For

Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role within the solar or energy storage industry.
- Solid understanding of solar and battery energy storage systems.
- Proven track record of hitting (and exceeding) sales targets in a B2B environment.
- Top-tier communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently while staying connected to the broader team.
- Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel as needed across Victoria.
