ESSENTIAL DUTIES

- Works collaboratively with the Sr. Director of Operations and Compliance on ensuring compliance with City, State, Licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Ensures all facilities, vehicles and equipment are available and operational as needed by staff on a 24-hour, seven-day a week schedule, including “on call” primary contact with security and other emergency listings which may require after-hours availability.
- Works collaboratively with management with providing operational support in the establishment of Community School in the area.
- Directs general maintenance activities of facilities, vehicles and equipment; ensures maintenance of grounds. Assigns maintenance jobs to staff in accordance with their skills, experience and other work projects; monitors/inspects progress on assignments and provides status reports as needed.
- Supervises compliance with fire, health, and OSHA safety codes.
- Works collaboratively with the Manager of Safety and Risk to ensure the safety of staff and clients while at CII.
- Evaluates, prioritizes, assigns, and follows up on all Operations work orders on a daily basis; follows up with managers to confirm work was completed to their satisfaction. Responds positively and quickly to requests for assistance by other members of staff.
- Communicates appropriate information organization-wide to staff involved in or affected by renovation, space planning, construction, and health and work safety issues
- Inspects buildings and support systems, equipment and grounds periodically to check for problems; troubleshoots problems to determine priorities and how to resolve them; discusses and resolves problems with supervisors.
- Collaborates with agency management in preparations for events and meetings on and off site.
- Coordinates outside custodial services and supervision/monitoring of outside vendors; participates in obtaining and reviewing proposals from vendors/contractors
- Collaborates with the Operations Coordinator in ensuring that contracts and invoices are submitted in a timely manner to ensure there is no delay in the contracting or payment of our vendors/contractors.
- Oversees maintenance of materials and supplies inventories; orders more as needed; organizes efficient use of resources.
- Maintains fleet of CII vehicles, including regular maintenance schedules, inspections, registrations, and cleaning.
- Performs maintenance and landscaping tasks as required.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Participates in the development and implementation of a preventive maintenance program for building equipment and systems.
- Assists the Sr. Director of Operations and Compliance with the inventory of physical assets.
- Prepares and sets up for meetings and campus visits, facilities or equipment as requested.
- May perform any or all duties of a Maintenance Technician.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the direct reports.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- This job supervises 4-8 staff: Maintenance Technicians and Housekeeper.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of managerial, supervisory experience.
- 3-5 years of building maintenance, or related experience.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance.
- Required to travel several times per month (25% to 50% of the time).
- Spanish/ English bilingual preferred.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Maintains patient privacy, including protecting the confidentiality, safeguarding the integrity and availability, and limiting the use and disclosure of patient Protected Health Information (PHI) to authorized individuals and entities.
- Participates in, conducts, and sustains performance quality improvement activities according to designated role and responsibilities.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Certificate is preferred.

COMPENSATION:
$73,601.00 USD - $84,641.00 USD
In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is included in this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on factors permitted by law. New hires will be offered a salary at the starting point of the range to maintain internal inequity and allow opportunity for future salary growth. CII salaries are determined based on comprehensive internal and external market analysis, as well as the skills, education, and experience relevant to each position.
