A newly launched record label backed by Sony Music is opening a new office in Atlanta, GA, and we’re looking for talented professionals to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and fast-growing label at the heart of the music industry. Paid positions are available.

What We’re Looking For:

Ideal candidates must have a strong ear for music and trends, with the ability to recognize potential hit songs and promising new artists. Networking and relationship-building skills are essential, as developing and maintaining strong industry connections can open doors to new talent and opportunities. A deep understanding of music genres and markets is crucial to identifying what resonates with different audiences.

Additionally, familiarity with contracts and business knowledge, including record deals, publishing rights, royalties, and licensing, is key to navigating the industry. Strong marketing and branding skills are necessary to develop artists, strategize releases, and execute impactful promotional plans. In today’s digital age, an A&R must also have digital and social media awareness, understanding how platforms like TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Spotify influence artist discovery and audience engagement.

Intern Responsibilities & Additional Duties:

  • Assist with administrative needs, including daily tasks for the executive team, managing receipts/folios for expense reports, running basic errands, and organizing digital songwriter information.
  • Research unsigned songwriters and emerging artists via streaming platforms, social media, and live shows, providing a weekly report to the A&R team.
  • Help cover desks for the executive team and studio staff when needed.
  • Assist the receptionist in welcoming guests into the studios and ensure the kitchen/lobby is stocked with food and drinks.
  • Add songs into the PITCH database to ensure availability for the Sync team.
  • Collect weekly US Airplay Ad boards from Mediabase and other relevant charts.
  • Create songwriter information blurbs and release playlists for signed artists.
  • Document and track new releases by SMP songwriters for internal team updates.
  • Listen to songwriter demos and provide creative input, including session ideas, pitching placements, and artist development suggestions.
  • Assist in creating songwriter decks for the Sync team to inform Music Supervisors from networks and studios.
