As a Consultant specialising in financial modelling you will work beside some of the industry’s top thought people designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions to challenges faced by the world’s top insurers.
The Role
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
Clients
• Provide life actuarial consulting to clients, including:
o Advice on methodology and modelling approach for regulatory changes, including Solvency II and IFRS17
o Advice on advanced financial modelling approaches, finance transformation
o Advice and support on Climate and ESG risk management, as well as our Protection and bulk-purchase annuity support propositions
• Deliver superior, consistent project management for assigned clients
• Interface with colleagues from other practices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’s broader business issues
• Develop a trusted advisor relationship with client contacts through effective communication and efficient, quality execution of projects
• Demonstrate commitment to Towers Watson professional standards in managing analyses and in communications with clients
• Manage or contribute to the development of the company’s intellectual capital including plans for taking this to market
• Think issues through and devise new approaches for creating opportunities
• Establish a public reputation in a chosen specialism through the production of articles and presentations
Financial and business development
• Meet goals for billable hours, intellectual capital development, and revenue generation
• Develop and present proposals to potential clients, demonstrating the economic value of the company’s offerings
• Use contacts within current network to obtain introductions to new contacts; work to develop supporters for company’s products and services
People
• Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teams
• Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
• Serve as manager or mentor to more junior associates
