KJUS Senior Accountant
Job Objective: The KJUS Senior Accountant will play a critical role in overseeing the companyβs accounting operations. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee the accurate recording of general ledger transactions including both automated system entries and manual journal entries.
- Run month end closing including GL account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, calculating accruals, and performing any SOX related controls.
- Balance and maintain general ledger and financial files in accordance with US GAAP.
- Reconcile intercompany account balances.
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accounting procedures.Β
- Coordinate with parent company on month end financial reporting, quarterly reporting packages, tax compliance, and other relevant accounting matters.
- Work with auditors to manage and complete the quarterly and year-end Canadian and U.S. federal and state tax reporting.
- Process all foreign currency transactions for Canada and the US but not limited to other countries.
- Calculate and distribute reports for salesman commission and make payments.
- Maintain monthly cashflow forecasts in accordance with Acushnet procedures.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and yearly business plan and forecast process.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and execution of financial controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years in accounting experience.
- CPA highly preferred.
- NetSuite experience preferred.
- Excellent project management and organization skills: self-directed and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects and adhering to various deadlines.
- Numeric and analytic aptitude, with proficiency in Excel.
- High attention to detail; Strong verbal and written communication skills; Ability to meet multiple pending deadlines.
- Occasionally long periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking.
