Summary of Position:
We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to join our growing team at Fortune Fish. The perfect candidate will be excited by the challenges an ERP migration brings and have a strong grasp of business processes, analytical skills, project management, communication skills, and the ability to translate IT with business needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assists in all aspects of solution development and deployment activities with the exception of coding. Emphasis will be on scope definition, requirements definition, system configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Manage the relationship between business units, technical teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery.
- Develops and maintains a thorough knowledge of the capabilities and functions of assigned application software. Uses this knowledge to recommend optimal solutions to business requirements that best leverages the product.
- Creates training documents and system documentation.
- Assesses cross-functional impact of changes to business processes.
- Assists in upgrade & migration activities, ensuring these meet business requirements and goals.
- Ensures that IT practices and policies are adhered to and aligned across the enterprise.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead and manage IT-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budgets.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and other core applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years IT Business Analyst experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in Systems Applications.
- Strong knowledge of Order to Cash and Accounting processes.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
- Understanding of ERP systems
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
Skills:
- Intermediate Project Management Skills – Capable of managing mid-sized projects. These projects would involve up to 4 additional people and require up to 500 hours effort for the total team.
- Communication - Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas in plain language. Good listening skills and ability to fully understand concepts by asking good questions.
- Conceptual understanding of IT fundamentals such as networking, programming, data center operations/scheduling, BI, Help desk, security
- Database understanding – This includes the ability to read and comprehend relational data models.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
