Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced IT Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving our organisation's IT systems, controls, and processes to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. The IT Auditor will assess risk, conduct audits, and provide recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and security of our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:


  • Plan and execute IT audits to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of IT systems, processes, and controls.

  • Assess IT risk management practices, including security, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Review and analyse IT policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.

  • Conduct interviews and gather evidence to identify potential weaknesses or areas for improvement in IT systems and controls.

  • Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.

  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

  • Monitor the progress of remediation efforts and ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

  • Stay up-to-date with changes in IT audit standards, regulations, and emerging technologies to ensure effective auditing practices.

  • Provide guidance and support to staff on IT audit-related matters and best practices.

  • Assist with the development of IT audit plans and strategies based on risk assessments and organisational priorities.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in IT auditing or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of IT audit principles, practices, and methodologies.

  • Familiarity with IT systems, networks, and security controls.

  • Experience with auditing standards and frameworks, such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and NIST.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present audit findings to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple audit projects simultaneously.
