ABOUT THE ROLE

We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our Supply Chain/Warehouse team. This role will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity of L'Occitane's stock in the Australian Distribution Centre and our Ecom Store as well as the development of stock control best practices across L’Occitane Australia's network. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well in a team, be a great communicator and remain calm under pressure.

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the Inventory Controller role will be based in our Silverwater Distribution Centre.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Ensure physical and system stock integrity whilst adhering to a strict First-Expired-First-Out stock (FEFO) rotation model

  • Alignment between our different in-house systems – WMS vs ER

  • Monitor and Manage Batch/Quality issues/Expiry date of products

  • Co-ordinate the process for routine replenishment of pick face locations

  • Co-ordinate stock taking and cycle counting – Provide checks on bin and bulk locations as required to ensure stock credibility

  • Implement robust inventory management practices from goods receipt to delivery.

  • Make recommendations on location layout for pick locations as to which products should be present in which locations based on pick velocity, physical profile of stock etc.

  • Ensure all processes, procedures and policies are adhered to.

ABOUT YOU


  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a similar role preferred

  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience

  • Current Australian Driver’s License

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong Numeracy and Literacy skills

  • Curious Nature – Wants to understand why a situation is the way it is

  • Problem Solving & decision making – Makes recommendations of appropriate course of action to rectify issues. Seeks advice & guidance when unsure of appropriate action
