Job Title: International Business Development Manager

 

Location: Alnwick, Northumberland

 

Our client is seeking a strategic and dynamic International Business Development Manager to join their sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for a sales and customer management professional to drive the development and international sales of the company’s product offerings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Develop and implement international sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with the Sales Director.

• Analyse product and manufacturing benefits to create and execute sales strategies in complex customer scenarios, aiming to establish a strong market presence.

• Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve sales targets and exceed budget expectations.

• Mentor and support area sales managers and other team members, acting as a role model in sales disciplines and conduct.

• Provide technical support for the company’s product portfolio and contribute to new product development.

• Conduct market research, develop business strategies, and lead campaign activities.

• Maintain high professional standards in account management, resource planning, and sales reporting.

 

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

 

• Strong educational background with a good level of numeracy and literacy.

• In-depth industry knowledge, particularly in lifting equipment and product technology.

• Proven sales skills with the ability to influence decision-making, close transactions, and manage accounts effectively.

• Strong management skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and assess subordinate personnel.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sage 1000, and relationship management software.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• A conscientious, results-focused team player with strong organisational skills.
