Position Overview: The HR Director will oversee all human resources functions, supporting our mission by ensuring a positive, compliant, and dynamic work environment. This role is vital to maintaining and shaping the firm’s culture, to developing talent, and to aligning HR practices with our strategic goals.




Primary Responsibilities:



  • Strategic HR Management: Align HR strategies with Sher Edling's mission and business objectives

  • Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring the selection and retention of top talent aligned with our firm’s values

  • Employee Relations: Foster a supportive and inclusive workplace, addressing employee satisfaction and managing conflict resolution

  • Performance Management: Oversee performance evaluations, further develop and maintain performance evaluation processes, provide guidance on employee development

  • Compensation & Benefits: Manage competitive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring compliance with relevant laws

  • Compliance & Legal: Ensure adherence to employment laws and maintain up-to-date HR policies

  • Training & Development: Assist in the implementation of training programs to support continuous learning and professional development

  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion: Drive initiatives to promote a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment

  • HR Administration: Oversee HR operations, including payroll, compensation, benefits, and personnel records management




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role

  • Expertise in employment laws and HR best practices

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Previous law firm or legal industry experience required

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification preferred
