The Watts Water Technologies family of companies designs and manufactures valves and drains and related products that promote the comfort and safety of people and the quality, conservation and control of water used in commercial, residential, industrial, and municipal applications. Reporting to the VP HR Americas, the HR Manager position operates as a business partner to the operations, engineering, and commercial teams for two of our manufacturing facilities located in St. Pauls and Spindale NC. This is a key position on the operations leadership team, responsible for building strong employee relationships and delivering people related strategies that lead to an engaging employee experience and business success. This position is located primarily in St Pauls, NC and is onsite Monday-Friday.
You Will:
Learn Watts– proactively learn this complex and matrixed organization so that relationships are built, and a plan is in place to grow partnerships and achieve results.
Build the Culture – work with the HR team to determine how teamwork across the business and corporate structure leverages success. Build critical relationships across HR to support the needs of Watts. Evolve to a high performing culture through inclusion, creative debate, accountability, and deepening levels of trust.
Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to leverage expertise, data analytics, tools, consistency, and compliance in organizational change efforts.
Execute talent plans to support performance management, talent development and organizational changes.
Evolve the People / Talent Management Strategy – partner with the leadership team to understand critical talent needs, help managers forecast, develop and implement the plan for growing or acquiring needed talent, using data and metrics to guide planning and execution.
Facilitate Change – provide a robust and participative approach to change.
Develop HR talent – manage and develop two HR generalist resources, maximizing their potential.
You Have:
Experience working onsite at a manufacturing facility supporting exempt and non-exempt employees.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, and an MBA or master’s degree is a real plus.
The ability to solve problems using data, analytics and storytelling techniques.
Familiarity with lean and continuous improvement systems.
Proven success working with senior leaders in a manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate will have managed projects, org design and transformation efforts, and learned what it takes to adapt to change in a culture that expects collaboration as well as speed in execution.
Demonstrated success designing and implementing changes using a consistent framework of reference.
Adept at coaching, advising, and influencing leaders on HR related issues to implement appropriate solutions.
A strong employee relations background and knowledge of local, state and federal labor laws.
Workday experience a plus.
