We are searching for an experienced General Manager to join our team in a full time role based out of our Toowoomba office.

In this newly created role you will be responsible for the ongoing internal management of the organisation in supporting the development and continued achievement of the firms vision, strategy, values, leadership behaviours and policies.

The role is critical in us maintaining the sustainability and effectiveness of Power Tynan to deliver growing profitability and ensure deliverables are achieved through accountable leadership of the team and to inspire the firm through consistent demonstration of the Power Tynan, purpose, values and leadership behaviours.

We are currently recruiting for a dynamic General Manager to help shape our future, support our talented team, and drive initiatives that foster agility and growth.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Strategy & Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO to set and drive our vision, operational strategy, and hiring needs. Translate strategy into actionable goals, ensuring alignment across the organization. You'll play a vital role in decision-making, helping our firm stay ahead in a constantly changing market.


  • Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, drive productivity, and build an inclusive culture where team members thrive. Lead initiatives that support compliance, risk management, and process enhancement to keep our firm agile, compliant, and efficient.


  • Financial & Project Management: Support annual budgeting, manage occupancy issues, and oversee key projects. Your guidance will be integral to our financial health and successful project outcomes.


  • Marketing & PR: Drive community engagement through advertising, media, and promotional opportunities, ensuring our brand remains strong and relevant.


  • IT Management: Collaborate with our external IT provider to oversee systems and strategic IT initiatives, including business continuity and disaster recovery.


  • Compliance & Quality Management: Ensure adherence to all legislative and regulatory standards and oversee the development and maintenance of policies that reflect best practices for our industry.

What We're Looking For :



  • Background: Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in business management, organizational administration, and/or project management


  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the Accounting/Finance industry and professional services standards, with an ability to anticipate and adapt to industry changes.


  • Leadership and Communication: Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in coaching, developing, and influencing teams. Exceptional communication skills that foster collaboration and engagement.


  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to support and drive strategic initiatives, with skills in change management, problem-solving, and a forward-thinking mindset.


  • Organizational Excellence: Ability to standardize operations, promote efficiency, and implement continuous improvements that differentiate our business.
