About Us:

BLAKEAWAY is a thriving ready-made meal business with six retail stores dedicated to providing delicious, convenient, and nutritious meals to our customers. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Retail Operations Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient and effective running of our stores.

Summary:

This role oversees the successful operation of 6 retail stores (with at least 2 more to open in the next 12 months) within Melbourne. Working closely with store managers staff to ensure that sales targets are met, customer service is of a high standard, and all stores maintain a consistent level of performance.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of all retail stores within the assigned area

  • Merchandising: implement effective merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales.

  • Track and analyze sales and performance metrics of all stores to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for sales growth

  • Stores & Staff , ensure that both the store environments and staff present a clean, professional & welcoming image.

  • Manage staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, and development programs for all store staff

  • Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure each store is fully stocked with the products customers demand whilst minimizing wastage

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote sales within each store

  • Manage budgets for all stores in the assigned area

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in retail operations management, preferably in the food industry.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • knowledge of merchandising principles and inventory management

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • commitment to hygeine & safety regulations

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer skills

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
