Director of Human Resources - Manufacturing
Our client, a large food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Director of Human Resources - Manufacturing to join their team. As a strategic leader, this role is pivotal in directing the main responsibilities of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the HR business partner to the manufacturing site leader and provide support to all peopleleaders.
- Partner to create a strategic plant business plan and provide strategic HR guidance to plant managers and senior leadership.
- Lead and develop site HR team members, ensuring milestones/goals are met within approved budgets.
- Provide support and guidance to the plant leadership team, advising on organizational policy matters and recommending necessary changes.
- Analyze statistical data and reports to identify personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of plant policies and practices.
- Build, deploy, and execute strategic talent initiatives in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Drive succession planning and talent management initiatives, identifying high-impact roles and developing incumbents and successors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or similar field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 8 years of prior HR experience, with at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OAice tools.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, focus, and execute tasks eAectively.
- Strong influencing and critical thinking skills.
- Resourcefulness, organizational savvy, and ability to drive results.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position oversees six direct reports, including HR Generalists, HR Coordinators, and a Training Manager.
