About the role:

Responsible for engaging with customers on behalf of the company. Their essential duties and responsibilities include answering phone calls or emails from customers to address any questions or concerns and processing customer purchase orders. The CSR reports to Kyna Moore, Customer Service Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Order Desk email box Β· Process customer orders.
  • Submit orders to the sales team to confirm pricing.
  • Confirm purchase orders to customers via email or fax.
  • Liaise with other departments to address miscellaneous customer issues (QA, routing/shipping, inventory)
  • Communicate/Report food safety and quality concerns to the Customer Affairs Team to initiate corrective actions.
  • Assist with inbound phone calls when the receptionist is away.

Qualifications

  • Language Skills– Ability to read and interpret documents such as purchase orders, invoices, Bill of Ladings, etc. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other company employees.
  • Mathematical Skills- Ability to calculate figures and amounts on such documents as customer purchase orders. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics. Β·
  • Reasoning Ability- Ability to multi-task while paying attention to accuracy and detail. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.Β 
  • Computer Skills- Ability to operate a computer, including the operating system, Microsoft Office programs, Excel, etc.
