CHEMetrics located in Midland, VA, and a subsidiary of AquaPhoenix Scientific, has an immediate opening for an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative (CSR). The CSR is responsible for exceeding customer expectations by handling inquiries, processing orders, and meeting deadlines in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner.  The CSR communicates regularly with both internal and external customers and requires a “can do” approach to service.

AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the CSR position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two or more years’ work experience in a customer facing environment.   

Other key areas of responsibility include: 

  • Provide customers with quotes on catalog items, product/service availability, lead times, and/or tracking using the company pricing systems and policies
  • Handle customer inquiries, orders, concerns, etc. in a way that leaves the customer with a feeling of satisfactory resolution, and when necessary, escalate issues to management
  • Possess accurate product and service knowledge
  • Exceptional verbal and written communications skills are required, as well as proficient data entry skills and accuracy
  • Remain current with new and existing product development
  • Ability to work independently but also collaboratively within a team environment
  • Represent the company in a way that projects an image of quality, integrity, and superior knowledge and comprehension
  • Availability to work Monday - Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No Weekend or Holidays 

Other key qualifications, skills and attributes include: 

  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment preferably in a call-center atmosphere.
  • Ability to accurately place orders and provide resolutions to customer inquiries while working in a managed fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with keyboard functionality and typing 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Displays enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in one’s work
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency in completing work assignments
