Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Assistant Store Manager, the Customer Service Associate provides excellent customer service and cash-handling skills. This position reviews all activities associated with handling customer transactions and ensuring a positive shopping experience for every shopper in our store.
Job Status: Full-time, Hourly Non-exempt
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains excellent customer service in all areas of the store.
- Maintains a neat and clean cashier center area and sales floor.
- Maintains correct change for all registers.
- Ensures correct pricing is entered into the POS system.
- Ensures all customers are greeted and get assistance as needed.
- Ensures all registers balance at the end of each shift.
- Handles customer issues as they arise.
- Ability to:
- Complete all types of sales transactions.
- Complete and input markdowns - percent and price override.
- Recognize counterfeit currency.
- Handle and control voids, returns, cash and credit card transactions, store credits, and special orders.
- Places sold tickets on merchandise for pick up - same day and 48-hour holds.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
