Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the management team with insightful financial analysis. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of financial integrity and drive innovation.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Generate and present monthly financial reports to the broader management team.
  • Oversee and evaluate the company’s purchase orders to ensure they adhere to financial compliance and are cost-effective.
  • Assess general accounting procedures to enhance efficiency and resource utilization while ensuring precision.
  • Coordinate the distribution of monitoring results to Division-level management and follow up to ensure engagement.
  • Collaborate with Finance teams for regular reconciliations and to support year-end audit processes.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and reporting procedures.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and reports for senior management.
  • Identify and apply process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and accounting.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate completion of annual statutory reporting.
  • Work closely with Treasury, Planning & Performance, and Divisional Finance teams to align with organizational goals and objectives.

About you

You are a detail-oriented and proactive accountant with a strong background in corporate accounting, particularly within larger organizations. You possess exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, and are adept at collaborating across departments to achieve financial accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in corporate or public accounting roles post-qualification.
  • Degree in Accounting or Commerce.
  • CA or CPA certification

Skills/Requirements:

  • Skilled in financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software.
  • Solid expertise in financial and management accounting.
  • High proficiency in financial numeracy and literacy.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
  • Advanced learning agility.
  • Industry-specific experience preferred.
  • Experience with JDE is advantageous.
