Job Title: Consultant Haematologist
Location: Sussex
Working Hours: Full-time
Salary: £99,532 - £131,964 per annum
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join one of the leading healthcare providers in Sussex. This role presents an exciting opportunity for you to contribute to the high standards of care we provide to our patients.
Responsibilities will include:
As a Consultant Haematologist, you will provide expert clinical care in haematology, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with haematological disorders. You will participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Engaging in clinical governance activities, including audits, quality improvement, and research, will be part of your role. You will supervise and mentor junior medical staff, contributing to their training and development. Additionally, you will participate in the on-call rota for haematology services and contribute to the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Postgraduate qualification or appropriate specialist qualification.
• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
• CCT in Specialty or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC).
• Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC.
Typical Job Plan:
• Clinical Duties:5 Programmed Activities (PAs) per week, including outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and laboratory work.
• Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs):5 PAs per week, including teaching, research, and clinical governance activities.
• On-Call Commitment: Participation in the on-call rota for haematology services.
