Reporting to the Digital Strategy Lead, you support Tyto on all forms of digital and insights work, including the Tech 500, other insights projects, business development, and digital marketing.
You are the owner of the Tyto Tech 500 data collection process, supporting the creation of the end report as well. You will also support the agency in leveraging this study throughout the year for marketing, new business and client activities. You will play a key role in expanding Tyto’s IP through the creation of an advanced insights service using Tech 500 data and the Tyto 500 panel of influencers.
You are one of the agency’s go-to people for analytics and digital expertise and support knowledge development across the agency, including training of the Tyto team with regards to research, analytics and insights tools.
You will play a key role on insights projects. You will contribute to new business proposals, with account leads directing the overall account / new business opportunity, but with you leading on insights and project-based elements. As such, you will be a key account lead for insights projects depending on the client, with client facing responsibilities. You will deliver content and insights consultancy and upsells for new business proposals, with account leads looking to you for such support.
You will support the Digital Marketing team and the account teams in data projects and will take a key role in supporting the wider team in reporting results to clients, using our toolkit to optimise and improve how we measure our success.
Your billable hours ratio is lower than Tyto Consultants as you primarily own the Tyto Tech 500, service internal projects and marketing, and support new business proposals. Nonetheless, you should be comfortable in a client-facing role as you will be servicing clients on insights projects and providing high quality measurement.
This role includes but isn’t limited to activities such as:
- Tyto Tech 500, including the data gathering and analysis as well as the creation of the study and its use in marketing, new business and client activities, and the creation of an advanced insights service.
- Insights projects, including media analysis, social listening, stakeholder mapping, focus groups, research reports, literature reviews, surveys, etc.
- New business proposals, including proposal development, research consultancy, budgeting, and presenting.
- Insights support, including supporting the wider team with their insights deliverables.
- Sharing of insights and skills, including delivering internal training sessions.
- Project management, including planners and action management.
- Reporting and media monitoring, including the management of media monitoring and social listening tools.
As Consultant, Communications Data Analyst, you will support on maintaining and managing a network of research partners and nurture relationships so any research and insights projects can be delivered to the highest standards, within timelines and costs suitable to clients’ needs.
You will develop your own skills, including appropriate courses, so you can provide gold standard consultancy to clients and communicate effectively with any research suppliers. Tyto will provide budget to support this development, subject to agreement.
Responsibilities:
- Leading all insights projects, with special focus on the Tech 500
- Client management as lead/support on research and insights projects
- Training of content team and media unit members of research and insights tools relevant to their roles
- Pitching and upselling of insights projects to existing clients
- Contribution to new business proposals, working with the relevant Head of Practice
- Supporting the team on research projects
- Insights consultancy for all Tyto clients and internal projects
- Delivery of assigned Tyto Tech 500 projects and tasks
- Deliver assigned work on time and within the hours assigned
Core competencies:
- Experience / demonstrable aptitude for social listening and insights tools such as Trendkite (Cision), Muck Rack, Moz, Pulsar, Google Analytics, Google Trends, etc.
- A keen interest in research projects and technology
- Previous experience in research, digital or data science projects
