Core Technology Systems is a leading UK Microsoft Partner and has been delivering bespoke Microsoft solutions for customers for over 15 years. For this role, we are seeking a Consultant to join our professional services team, within our Cloud and Infrastructure practice. This Consultant will be responsible for project delivery across the practice. This role will be project focused, with involvement in all stages of a project, from initial customer conversations through to project closure. 




The candidate should have a forward drive to increase their knowledge base of our current and future products, to drive towards engaging in more complex projects and stepping into pre-sales conversations. Any prior experience in Consultancy or Professional Service teams is welcomed. Ongoing product development is a key part to this role, as such feedback through implementation experience will be vital to ongoing success delivering our products. 




This role will be multi-faceted, with responsibilities in leading customer engagements, implementing solutions, as well as internal product development practices. This role will offer the opportunity for the candidate to take steps into pre-sales activities, working alongside our Sales teams to steer customer engagements in the correct path. It's expected for the Consultant to be 80% billable for their role, with projects assigned via our PMO function, working alongside other team members during the project lifecycle.

Duties & Responsibilities





  • This role will perform a Consultant function for the Cloud and Infrastructure practice, which includes products in the below workloads:

    • Microsoft 365

    • Microsoft Intune

    • Microsoft Azure

    • Microsoft On-premises solutions



  • Generate new product ideas, drive them through the Innovation Forum, and own the product during its life cycle.

  • Innovate on existing products, leveraging new features/technologies, as a core amendment or additional service.

  • Work with Delivery Engineers and Architects on an ongoing basis to improve team skillset and delivery mechanisms.

  • Implement technologies outside product catalogue

  • Actively seek improvements in both personal, as well as organisational knowledge, to help improve processes and solutions on an ongoing basis.



What are we looking for




Skills/Experience





  • Experience implementing Microsoft technologies in SMB/SME environments

  • Experience leading technical projects in SMB/SME environments

  • Facilitates collaboration and involvement with other team members as project work is distributed across various roles

  • Experience working in technical support/implementation roles

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft cloud and on-premises solution capabilities



Recommended Technical Skills




Knowledge or experiences in any of the below product areas are desirable:





  • Next Gen Windows - Windows 11, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365

  • SCCM, Co-management, Hybrid AADJ, migration to Intune from SCCM/alternative MDM

  • Identity solutions - ADDS, AAD

  • Collaboration - Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Exchange - both cloud and on-premises

  • Defender - Office 365, Endpoint, Cloud Apps, Cloud, Identity, AAD IdP

  • Purview - Information Protection, Information Governance, Data Loss Prevention

  • Azure - Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, IaC

  • Migration with on-premises solutions to cloud, be that files, Exchange, identity, or wider

  • On-premises technologies - Azure AD Connect, ADFS, PKI, Files, Server, AOVPN

  • Tenant-tenant migrations

The below qualifications are desirable, the candidate should be willing to renew existing, as well as achieve new certifications as they arise:





  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solution Architect Expert

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
