Job Title: Compliance Specialist
Our company is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our team. The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that our company is in compliance with all HUD, state agency, and tax credit rules and regulations concerning occupancy, rectifications, and all tax credit related issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with HUD and state agencies in reference to Section 8 Contract renewals.
Responsibilities:
- Keep abreast of all HUD, state agency, and tax credit rules and regulations concerning occupancy, rectifications, and all tax credit related issues.
- Deal directly with HUD and state agencies in reference to Section 8 Contract renewals.
- Prepare and distribute the weekly Occupancy Report to all executives at the home office, making sure all move-outs, move-ins, and transfers are reported by the sites when information is reported.
- Monitor voucher transmissions to TRACS with all sites.
- Inform UPF when sites get fatal errors for expiring contracts or lack of funding.
- Follow-up with regional HUD offices after contracts have been renewed.
- Maintain a binder with rent increases and income limits.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of HUD, state agency, and tax credit rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
