An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Commercial / Business Analyst to join our onsite team at Ravenswood Gold. This permanent opportunity will report to the Commercial Manager and be a vital member of the Commercial Team.
You will work closely with the Site and Corporate Commercial / Finance Team and be a valued member of the broader Site Management Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Provide accounting support for the Mining, Processing, Maintenance and Support departments including month end accruals, cost reallocations, variance analysis and reporting. Month end duties may also include some business wide tasks such as inventory valuations, and deferred stripping calculations.
• Own the capital management and reporting process, ensuring the timely submission of capital approval requests, tracking of progress, updating of forecasts and effective monthly reporting.
• Assist the Mining, Processing, Maintenance and Support departments with:
• Play a lead role in the development of departmental performance and cost performance reporting tools.
• Assist with ad hoc financial information requests from various internal and shareholder stakeholders
• Identify and escalate business improvement opportunities such as cost reductions, process improvement, production improvement.
• Coach key stakeholders around finance acumen to improve cost management and data collection.
• Assist in developing procedures and enhancements to business and system processes across finance, supply, and maintenance departments.
ABOUT YOU
• A relevant tertiary qualification, such as Commerce, Finance, Economics or Accounting
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience gained in a related position in Finance, Management Accounting, Business Analysis or Finance Business Partnering is favourable.
• Postgraduate studies would be advantageous. Commenced or completed CFA, CPA or CA is desired.
• Experience with ERP Systems, Ravenswood Gold currently use Pronto
• Experience working with complex commercial issues and financial evaluations.
• Good project management and self-organisational skills.
• Well-developed communications skills, including preparation of reports and presentations.
• Solid research and analytical skills.
