Business Unit Manager - Responsibilities include:

Coordination & Supervision - Taking ownership of and managing the workings required within the department(s) and in line with company policy and practice.

Financial - Reviewing financial statements and data. Utilising financial data to improve profitability. Preparing and controlling operational budgets. Controlling inventory.

Continuous Improvement - Improving processes and policies in support of organisational goals. Formulating and implementing departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitoring adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. Supporting on any project activity where required.

Communication - Ensuring effective communication within the department and in line with company requirements. Work positively with all stakeholders.

Service - Managing delivery of goods produced within company requirements, including quality standards. Supporting sales and marketing activities. Working with support functions in ensuring full operations in line with business procedures and best practice.

Strategic Input - Liaising with senior management. Assisting in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Implementing and managing operational plan.

Health & Safety - Ensuring full compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice H&S standards, taking accountability for departmental activities and leading by example.
Business Unit Manager - Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:
- Experience at Production Manager or Senior Shift Manager level
- Food processing environment experience
- Experience of supplying a major supermarket
- Experience of managing audits with major supermarkets and regulatory bodies
- Experience in the delivery of financial improvements
- Understanding of Finance and budgets
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Food Safety training, ideally to Level 4
- IOSH Managing Safely
- Quality Awareness – BRC/HACCP
Schedule- Monday-Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm
