Job Description:
Viridien’s Earth Data team is looking for passionate, creative, and hard-working individuals with a customer-oriented entrepreneurial mindset to join our team as a Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will become a key contributor in Viridien’s drive to expand our seismic portfolio in the Americas region.
Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new solutions for projects addressing specific geological/geophysical challenges in the Americas Region.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Focus on identifying and/or developing new/optimal technical solutions for projects, addressing specific geological/geophysical challenges and client requirements.
Work with internal Imaging and Geological teams to develop new multi-client seismic programs.
Work with the Sales teams, and directly with clients, to ensure new surveys are aligned with project development needs.
Work with vendors and internal operations teams to source seismic acquisition services.
Responsible for communication and liaison with local internal and external stakeholders, including authorities, operators and other clients, acquisition vendors, fisheries and others, during planning and acquisition phases of projects.
Monitor lease sales and client activity in the region.
Participate in client and internal meetings to communicate on data related issues.
Qualifications:
Academic background in Geoscience, Engineering, or other related disciplines would be desired; or related experience.
Good technical working knowledge of geological and geophysical datasets
Experience in seismic acquisition, processing or interpretation preferred.
Self-starter that is well organized with excellent time management skills; is meticulous, intellectually curious and has an attention to detail
Team player that is able to work effectively with various internal and external teams is a must
The ability to communicate effectively internal and external to the working group, peers, and management.
Advanced English language skills – read, write, and speak.
Functional Spanish language skills – read, write, and speak strong desirable
