OVERVIEW
For more than 30 years, CAA Brand Management has helped brands of all shapes and sizes show up in new consumer product categories, experiences and territories, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. CAA Brand Management is a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Together we represent many of the most successful global brands and professionals working in television, film, music, theatre, video games, sports, and digital content. We also provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients.
CAA Brand Management is currently seeking a Business Development Manager for the UK market.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Sales Strategy & Lead Generation
- Learn and understand CAA clients’ brand strategies and target categories for growth through licensing.
- Research the UK market (across all tiers; both online and brick and mortar) to identify new partners align to the brands’ strategies across the following product categories: Toys & Games, Gaming, Collectibles, Sporting goods, Consumer Electronics, BTS & stationary, Dress Up, Gifting and Publishing.
- Contribute to the achievement of the EMEA New Business budget by leading, managing and finalising revenue generating deals.
Drive Business Development
- Consistently drive prospects into leads through high-volume outbound sales activity.
- Conduct detailed research to understand the prospects interests and capabilities.
- Lead and manage efficient and productive negotiations of deal terms, taking full ownership of the deal process.
Operations & Process Management
- Track activity consistently and accurately within team platforms.
- Run productive and goal-oriented deal processes.
- Prepare and present reports of sales performance as required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Demonstrated successful sales experience in the licensing industry.
- Prior experience at a licensing agency, brand holdings company, or brand management company preferred.
- Existing network of licensees/retail contacts across listed categories.
- Strong in negotiating skills: you are, results and solution oriented, comfortable with substantial cold-calling and outreach activity.
- Target driven and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment while prioritising workload.
- Team player, supportive of colleagues and management to achieve team goals.
- Passionate, flexible and hard worker.
- Possesses integrity and honesty.
