Job Summary


Prospects and sells a suite of services to defined outside sales accounts and prospects. Identifies sales opportunities and follows up to demonstrate and implement products and services as appropriate. Develops business sales strategies and implements strategies to increase client growth in the assigned territory with HEALTHWORKS’.




Essential Functions
 



  • Reaches or exceeds assigned sales goals.

  • Implements direct prospecting and referral based sales strategies.

  • Sells the products or services within assigned territory.

  • Builds network of actively referring brokers and benefits consultants.

  • Mines existing and prospective clients for referral business.

  • Establishes and maintains good customer relations, with both internal and external customers

  • Connects client business needs with products and services.

  • Cross-sell other solutions to existing clients.

  • Maintains accuracy and timeliness of database, with respect to client accounts, contacts, prospective leads and progress status of opportunities. Provides progress to goals to leadership.

  • Works with RFP Coordinator to facilitate and close RFP generated opportunities.

  • Monitors market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales. Leads all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon other company sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery, and implementation, as needed or as directed by management.


 


Physical Requirements
 


 


Must be able to drive 50% of time to call on prospective clients on frequent day trips and occasional overnight travel, depending on territories assigned. Frequently requires standing, walking, using repetitive wrist/arm motion or lifting articles up to twenty-five pounds. Require frequent verbal and written communications in English.




Education, Experience and Certifications
 


Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's preferred. 6 years of outside business-to-business sales experience, with proven proficiency in selling and presentation skills, prospecting, and territory management required. Experience working on a sales quota and demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas required. Valid Drivers license required. Experience in group benefits, group insurance, wellness, onsite health clinics and health care organizations preferred. General business acumen and understanding of how profitable organizations operate required. Excellent computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with a variety of audiences verbally, telephonically and electronically required. Experience and ability to prioritize multiple tasks appropriately. Ability to provide exceptional support to HEALTHWORKS’s vision and direction. Resourceful and organized, with an ability to handle tight deadlines with grace. Flexible and supportive of others in the department and company. Goal-oriented with ability to meet department objectives. Team-oriented and ability to work effectively across functional areas of the company. Ability to coordinate, track and efficiently organize multiple tasks/projects. Ability to work independently with minimal to moderate supervision
