Cabin Operations Ltd houses our Environmental Recreational Planning Operations and Wildfire Operations teams and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team.




The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing a variety of our Business Development needs by generating leads, negotiating bids, and supporting and boosting revenues. 




The ideal candidate would be based out of the Okanagan area (Vernon, Kelowna or Lake Country being more ideal) and fitting well with our Culture and possessing similar values.

Key Responsibilities:





  • Identify and develop business opportunities and close sales for the Environmental, Recreation and Wildfire Business Lines throughout British Columbia and potentially Western Canada.

  • Collaborate with Division Managers and General Manager to refine the growth strategy for each Business Line and Cabin Operations as a whole.

  • Focus on implementing and developing opportunities within the determined growth strategy for each Business Line.

  • Identifying Strategic Partners and initiating collaborative discussions with the goal of generating revenue opportunities

  • Promote the Service Offering and Business Model for the Business Lines with potential clients and partners.

  • Drive Business Development activities with the goal to fill the work funnel across all twelve months of the year creating consistent work and work balance for the operational teams.

  • Developing relations with Strategic Partners include First Nation Groups and Large Civil Contractors.

  • Major Client to be interacting with include Provincial Governments, Regional Districts, Municipalities, First Nations, Civil Contractors

  • Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, and building rapport.

  • Assess competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends.

  • Generate revenue by converting leads into accounts/contracts with a particular focus on direct award contracts.

  • Creating and maintaining a database of current and potential clients i.e Hubspot

  • Monitor sales metrics and manage the sales administration process







      Qualifications & Experience:





      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Project.

      • 5 + Years of Business Development experience would be preferred.

      • Experience developing relationships with Large Civil Contractors, Provincial, Municipal and Regional District Levels would be a significant asset.

      • Additional experience in the Environmental Contracting industry would also be seen a asset
