Capitol Aluminum & Glass Corporation (CAGC) is seeking a Business Development Manager to become an integral part of Capitol’s team to expand the company’s customer base and develop new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creates, plans, and implements sales strategies that increase product awareness, generate product demand, and grows corporate territory through self and managing other CAGC representatives. Develops strategic action plans to increase brand awareness to develop and create distribution channels.
- Drive profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new, and re-engaging with dormant accounts, while growing existing clients. Develops and nurtures productive relationships with owners, architects, and engineering consultants. Provides technical information and application information regarding products. Capable of interacting with and influencing personnel at various levels of an organization.
- Identify customer project requirements. Builds customer confidence in product and company. Understands design and installation requirements of products for current and new applications. Develops and works within budgetary constraints.

Assists in the development of promotional and trade show exhibitions. Attend local and regional industry conventions. Actively participate in industry conferences and associations to influence and better understand market trends, competitive and adjacent products, and applications. Deliver technical presentations at industry conferences, in webinars, and to potential customers.

Keeps a pulse on current market technologies and competitor’s products and technologies to help identify next generation technology and new market opportunities. Contributes to CAGC improvement projects to enhance our products and services.
Qualifications (training of products and technical data provided after hire):
- College Degree in sales or equivalent demonstration of ability and experience
- Understanding of principles and techniques of business development and leadership
- 5 years or more experience in technical sales position, preferably in building products, aluminum industry, or construction or related technical OEM
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build an industry presence.
- Understanding of building blueprints preferred.
- Negotiation skills and ability to close a deal with customers.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Travel is required throughout the State of Ohio and occasionally surrounding states.
- Proficient understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Required ability to use CRM package.
