Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for creating business strategies to facilitate company growth. The Business Development Manager should have experience in manufacturing and automation machinery. Our preferred candidate will have 10 or more years’ experience as a salesperson involving direct interface with projects in automation or engineer-to-order industry.

Haumiller Engineering is a 100% employee-owned company that designs and manufactures high speed automation assembly and test equipment for the life science, personal care and food and beverage industries.

What You Will Do:

• Leads expansion into new markets to support overall growth strategy
• Builds relationships with existing clients to increase their current investment
• Reviews and analyzes results of past campaigns to facilitate development of new initiatives and partnerships
• Demonstrates good judgment when deciding what written information is required by the customer
• Negotiates delivery and price with customer ensuring proper balance of customer satisfaction and profitability
• Identify and communicates needed changes to standards, considerations and tools (software, computers, and workspace, etc.) that eliminate repetitive errors or inefficiencies
• Work and setup tradeshows
• Regular travel is required for this position

What You Will Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of engineering or technical project management
• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a salesperson involving direct interface with projects in automation or engineer-to-order industry
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical documents
• Experience interpreting purchase orders and business communications
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D solid models

• Advanced skills using MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Basic skills to navigate SolidWorks viewer, AutoCAD viewer
