Business Analyst - Treasury

The Business Analyst/Project Manager role in corporate technology is a critical function. The team is responsible for requirements documentation, project delivery, program management, domain knowledge, and collaboration with all teams involved in the software development lifecycle. The team covers all post-trade support including all middle office and back office functions:  trade capture, position keeping, operations, treasury, finance, compliance, human resources, investor relations, procurement, etc.  This particular role will be focused heavily on the build out of our Corporate Treasury Systems.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Work across the global Treasury, Operations and Technology organizations to understand business needs and manage coordinated solutions
  • Own extensive data analysis across asset classes, products, markets and trading strategies to provide business transparency, identify deficiencies and support platform implementations
  • Own requirements definition and scoping to long-term strategic IT solutions
  • Hands-on ownership of full delivery of IT efforts from specs to testing and production roll-out
  • Meet with internal clients to determine business, functional and technical requirements and participate in application design, configuration, testing and deployment
  • Participate in efforts to develop and execute testing, training and documentation
  • Proactively engage on continuous improvement efforts for application design, support, and practice development efforts.
  • Provide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and “how-to” assistance.

Qualifications/Skills Required

  • 7+ years of hands on experience with business analysis in financial services, 3+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with direct query of enterprise databases and working with large, complex data sets to answer questions and model concepts
  • Relevant Treasury business experience/knowledge (Cash & Collateral Mgt. / Liquidity modeling / Prime Brokerage / Margin / Stock Loan)
  • Strong understanding of financial products (Equity, FI, Futures, OTC, FX, etc) and margin policies
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
  • Proven track record of hands-on project delivery experience across the SDLC at an Investment Bank, Software Vendor, Exchange or ATS, or Buy Side Firm 
  • Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile, for example 
  • Experience coordinating projects across multiple teams / functional areas 
  • Ability to communicate at detailed levels to development teams and users and executive updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an independent/self-starter work ethic.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
