Business Analyst - Cyber

Job description

Work Location: On site at Fort Belvoir, VA. This is not a remote position.

NOVACES is hiring Business Analysts who will provide analytical, operational, and technical assistance to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). This support will be coordinated through the DLA headquarters (HQ) continuous process improvement (CPI) program management office (PMO). The candidate is expected to apply a wide range of tools such as strategic planning, performance management, analytics, and data mining as well as modeling and simulation, development of measures and metrics, and application of industry best practices as necessary. The candidate must be able to apply advanced knowledge of applicable principles and integrate institutional knowledge and experience of associated concepts and practices. Candidate’s support shall include, but is not limited to the following:

• Fuse modern advanced data analysis, research, mathematics, and statistical techniques with data mining, database management, and search/query techniques;

• Use data mining tools, data discovery, data analytics, predictive modeling, simulation or visualization, and analytics software to develop, interpret, and analyze data extracts and reports from systems and databases;

• Develop the most efficient and effective automated approaches for preparing or presenting reports, charts, tables, and graphs to support and satisfy management data reporting requirements;

• Conduct data logging, data auditing, and other IT systems log reviews; and

• Support IT risk management framework, cybersecurity, and governance.

Education

Minimum educational requirement is a BA/BS or equivalent experience (see Experience below). Cyber and/or IT experience preferred.

Clearance

Active DoD Secret clearance required. Candidates must be able to be successfully adjudicated for a DoD Secret (T3).

Experience

Industry equivalent certification in information technology, information systems, business analytics, business intelligence, data analytics, etc.

Must have at least three years of business analysis or related experience. Must have at least three years’ experience consulting, advising, and working with federal government customers. Must be able to secure a CAC and DLA systems access on the first day of work.
