Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Referees Group and to our Summer Football Team. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. You'll be part of a small, yet dynamic team, with many connected and moving parts. You'll need to be flexible towards your workload management and be able to pivot as required. You must have a can do attitude and be able to manage competing priorities.

Work Days & Hours

Days of work are generally Monday to Friday.

Hours:

Very important to note that September to December your standard work day will be 1pm to 9pm. January to August your standard work day will be 9am to 5pm.

Also important to note that you'll be working for a community sports organisation. Community sport is played outside of regular business hours, so the very nature of your role will see you working with community volunteers and amateur athletes, therefore, some out of hours and weekend work will be required from time to time. This will always be with notice, but the expectation is that you will be able to accomodate these variances when they arise.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to various departments within the organisation

  • Manage and maintain electronic and paper filing systems

  • Answer and direct phone calls and emails

  • Schedule and coordinate Referee Appointments

  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports relating to your various roles

  • Assist with the preparation of presentations and other materials

  • Perform data entry and maintain databases

  • Order and maintain office and uniform supplies

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Assist in the management of relevant social media channels and webpage content

Qualifications:


  • Certificate 4 or high in Administration or Business Operations

  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative support role

  • Proven High Degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

  • Experience with data entry and database management

  • Knowledge of office equipment and procedures

  • Ability to work as part of a small hardworking team

  • This is a child related position. Successful applicants must hold a valid NSW Working With Children Clearance.

Remuneration

Will be above award wages based on Grade 5-6 Clerical in the SPORTING ORGANISATIONS AWARD [MA000082] dependent upon age and experience.
