What Will You Do?
Assist with the monitoring of planning line performance to support the execution of underwriting strategies.
Assist UW Officers to develop and analyse portfolios from an underwriting perspective utilising MI/BI data and reporting insights from multiple sources - Business Intelligence, Actuarial, Catastrophe Modelling, Rating, Claims, Production and other performance data.
Identify trends by understanding and monitoring key performance metrics (e.g. portfolio mix; drivers of underwriting performance; claims performance by cause and by attrition, large and catastrophe components; geography; segment; distribution channel; rate targets, etc.)
Assist the UW Officers with analysis to identify and explain portfolio changes, delivering clear insight into account structure and performance. This will aid setting strategy for rate adequacy and pricing.
Assist the UW Officers and work collaboratively with UW to support the development of underwriting guidance and best practice.
Portfolio CURE process management:
Coordinate the process that leads to the Portfolio Collaborative Underwriting Reviews (CUREs). This entails – coordination of scoping meetings, follow-up workshops, CURE meetings, debrief meetings and issuing and tracking actions to ensure outcomes are delivered.
-Collate and prepare CURE packs and provide support to Underwriters
Support the co-ordination, preparation and outcomes of ad hoc ‘mini-CUREs’ to discuss new propositions/issues either locally or with US.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
Degree education & ACII preferred.
Strong communication and analytical skills complemented with expert numeracy and excel capabilities.
Previous experience in Lloyd’s or London Market is preferred but not a prerequisite.
Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
Intermediate MS office skills; particularly excel and powerpoint.
What is a Must Have?
Good knowledge of the local insurance marketplace gained in previous experience in the industry either in underwriting or portfolio analytics.
