Technical Sales Representative: The Impact You’ll Have On The Organization and World
- You’ll form important partnerships. You’ll build and maintain long-term relationships with major clients, enhancing customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Your expertise will be valued. You will provide technical expertise and guidance on adhesive applications, reducing client production downtime and downfall through effective problem-solving.
- You’ll collaborate across our organization. You’ll work with the R&D and Manufacturing teams to launch new adhesives, capturing interest from sustainability-focused clients and driving annual sales.

What Does a Typical Day Look Like? Here are your primary responsibilities:
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
- Assists in the preparation of sales forecasts, quotes and negotiations and is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Visits customers on site to review quality and functionality of products.
- Identifies and assists customers and team members in troubleshooting any equipment or material problems and following all issues to resolution.
- Maintains and grows existing accounts by supplying technical support and services.
- Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or services.
- Uses technical knowledge of product offerings and customer processes to support and build regional sales.
What is Needed to be Successful in this Role (Required Skills/Abilities):
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires proficiency in the role-specific skills and abilities. Must demonstrate a thorough understanding in the area of specialization and responsibility, typically obtained through a bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience in industrial sales or the wood adhesives industry.
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Must have a background in the Oriented Strand or Particle Board/MDF Industry and located or willing to relocate to the East Texas/Louisiana.
- Good interpersonal communication.
- Adhere to company safety policies and work requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of ERP systems.
- Previous experience in a technical / quality role.
Travel:
- Willing to travel up to 70% of the time.
